    December 20, 2017 I purchased a Stihl blower, BR430 from Triad Equipment in March of 2017. My blower has seemed to have a loss of power and it simply doesn't function like it once did. I contacted the dealer and spoke with the service manager on Tuesday the 19th of December. I explained this and he suggested I bring it in. I asked about the labor fee and he stated not to worry about the fee as he would cover it under warranty and advised me not to take it apart as it would only cause him more time to repair it. He seemed nice and professional and I felt great about my purchase with this dealer. On Wednesday, the 20th of December. I took time off from work in order to bring the unit in. I asked for the service manager and he eventually came out of his meeting. He asked me the same questions regarding what was going on with the machine, etc. He then stated there would be a small fee of course for labor. I stated to him this is not what he had told me during our telephone conversation and he asked me to step outside. I told him that this would be the last piece of equipment I would buy or service at this facility. I put the machine into the trunk of my car and he stated he never advised me that there would be no fee involved. Had he told me over the telephone there would be a small fee, I would have been fine with that. Telling a consumer one thing and then telling them the exact opposite is insincere, dishonest and does not represent the owner of this business very well nor does it reflect positively on the manufacturer of having a business treat their customers this way. I haven’t purchased my last Stihl products; however, I will never do business in sales, service or rental equipment from this business again. I am sure that I am not the only consumer to have such an experience with this this “old-deceitful tact of bait and switch” from this service manager. It is unfortunate that this company has to resort to such dishonest tactics to get people into their store.
